Founded in 1977, it is the pioneering executive aviation company in Spain and a point of reference at a national and European level. The company offers an integrated aviation service which includes management of third party executive aircraft, the commercialization of flight hours and base and hangar maintenance services. Gestair has a unique strategic position, being the main national operator for corporate aviation and one of the main operators in Europe, with the only maintenance centre in the south of Europe for Gulfstream and Dassault Falcon aircraft, two of the main manufacturers of executive aircraft worldwide.
- Strategic redefinition – Divestment of non-strategic line of business (executive terminals – Gestair FBO).
- Strengthening of the organisation – Strengthening of the management team and corporate governance of the company.
- Organic growth – Definition of a growth plan based on improvement of the service to increase acquisition of new aircraft under management and in the investment in two new hangars at Barajas Adolfo Suárez Airport to enhance the base and hangar maintenance line of business.
- Inorganic growth – Strengthening of the competitive position in the management and commercialisation of third party executive aircraft with the acquisition of its main competitor in Spain (Executive Airlines).
In 2019, Nazca sold Gestair to the Spanish GPF Capital fund, which showed its interest in Gestair’s position of leadership in the whole range of operation, management and maintenance services for executive aircraft.
