Logifrío group, resulting from the merger of Plataformas Frigoríficas and Transportes García Villalobos, provides services to small and medium sized national companies. The company has a large portfolio of 900 clients, with direct presence in the main cities and covering the rest of the national territory, as well as having operations in 15 other countries through agreements with local collaborators.

Value contribution

  • Integration and consolidation of both companies to strengthen its national leadership, as well as the acquisition of a competitor (June 2015) to increase national coverage.
  • Refocusing of the commercial strategy of the company: (i) focus on large food services clients, reducing the client portfolio to 300; (ii) development of the commercial plan, emphasising brand and relationship aspects.
  • Implementation of strategic measures for the improvement of profitability of the company: (i) easing of distribution costs through the outsourcing of drivers, and (ii) closure of non-strategic branches.

Divestment

In 2016, Nazca reached an agreement with the majority shareholder for the acquisition of its shares.
