Rocío Catón

Rocío Catón joined Nazca in 2022 as part of the firm’s legal and compliance area.

What is your experience?

After graduating in the double degree in Law and Business Administration from ICADE [E3], I worked for almost 4 years in Garrigues, specializing in financial law (mainly project finance), capital markets (securitizations and fixed income issuances) and corporate law, managing different companies.

Afterwards, I joined the General Secretary’s Office at BBVA during three and a half years as legal counsel where I provided services to the Bank’s Governing Bodies and Financial Management, mainly in relation to capital markets and corporate governance matters.

What do you think makes Nazca different?

The commitment of the team both internally and in its relationship with partners, advisors, investors and the families of the companies in which it invests.

What is the factor that makes you most proud of Nazca?

Its people and the feeling of belonging to the same group at all levels of the organization. There is a good atmosphere and the team is highly qualified, very motivated and with a great culture of effort and performance.

What do you like the most about your job?

The possibility of dealing with all issues in a global way, from strictly legal aspects, through regulatory compliance issues, to the more practical day-to-day matters of the investees, which make the work really interesting since they belong to so many different sectors.

The above, together with the autonomy, flexibility and trust that I have from the team, making me feel part of the firm from the first day, and, specially, the possibility of balancing my professional and personal life.

In Nazca I have found something I thought impossible: a challenging, demanding and dynamic job, but fully compatible with the development of my personal life.
