Rocío Catón
Legal Counsel and Sustainability Lead
Rocío worked in the Commercial Department at Garrigues for four years after completing a dual degree in Law and Business Administration at ICADE (E3) in 2014. At the firm she advised on financial and banking law transactions (Project Finance); capital markets (securitisation and bond issues); and corporate law (serving as secretary to numerous companies).
In 2018, she joined BBVA to advise the bank’s Finance Department on debt offerings and support the Board of Directors on corporate governance matters as part of the Financial-Institutional Legal Advisory team in the bank’s General Secretariat.
Since 2022, she has been a member of Nazca’s legal team delivering cross-functional legal support to the fund manager, investors and investees and in regulatory and compliance issues. She also leads the fund manager’s sustainability strategy.
