Nazca sells Fritta
Nazca Capital, the private equity fund management company, has sold Investcorp its shareholding in Fritta, a company specialised in the sector of frits and ceramic enamels. The acquisition is subject to the authorization of the competent Spanish authorities.
Founded in 1973 in Onda (Castellón), Fritta is dedicated to the design, manufacture and commercialization of digital frits and enamels, ceramic colours and inks, critical products in the manufacturing process of ceramic tiles. The firm has international presence with two frit production plants in Spain and Vietnam and two enamel mixing plants in Italy and Mexico. Fritta has approximately 300 employees and distributes its products to over 200 clients around the world. Fritta expects to end the 2014 financial year with sales of around 100 million euros and EBITDA of 16 million euros. Over 50% of Fritta’s sales are generated outside of Spain.
Carlos Carbó, Managing Director of Nazca Capital, commented “Fritta represents our first divestment of Nazca Fund III, with excellent profitability for our investors. Since our investment in Fritta in December 2013, the company has registered double digit growth as a result of its international expansion and the successful implementation of the strategy in the digital ink segment. We are very satisfied with this operation, which is an important step for the development of Fritta”.
Pascual Parra, managing director of Fritta, stated “The support of Nazca has allowed Fritta to become one of the points of reference in the industry of frits and ceramic enamels.”
Fritta is the first divestment by Nazca in Nazca Fund III.
