Madrid, 20th<\/sup> of January 2020. <\/em>Caiba, a pioneering company in Spain in the sector of plastic containers, specialised in the design and manufacture of preforms and PET containers, has acquired<\/strong> Pramix<\/strong>, a Toledo family company specialised in the manufacture of polyethylene plastic containers, mainly for the food, household and personal hygiene sector.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The acquisition of Pramix<\/strong> is encompassed in the plan that Caiba<\/strong> implemented \u2013 after investment of Nazca Capital<\/strong> in the company\u2019s shareholding \u2013 to consolidate its national growth, with commitment to the continuous growth of its client portfolio, the development and innovation of new materials, products and formats, and entry into new market segments.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Pramix<\/strong> has a robust portfolio of clients, made up of large companies which are leaders in their markets in Spain, with which it has long-term relationships thanks to its large catalogue of products, the capacity for adapting to clients in terms of design and moulds, and the quality of its service. Located in Las Ventas de Retamosa (Toledo), it has two neighbouring warehouses in which it operates over 14 extrusion-blowing lines and in which over 40 employees work.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Caiba<\/strong> showed interest in Pramix<\/strong> thanks to its positioning in high density polypropylene and polyethylene containers, materials used in sectors such as food, cosmetics, personal hygiene and household products, which allow Caiba\u2019s<\/strong> portfolio of products and sectors to continue being diversified.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n In 2019, Pramix<\/strong> achieved sales of 6 million euros, 10% more than in 2018. The integration plan encompasses continued growth thanks to the positive business dynamics of Pramix<\/strong>, the continuity of its management team and the support of Caiba<\/strong> in its current clients and new accounts in its markets.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Jos\u00e9 Luis Ba\u00f1os, Managing Director of Caiba<\/strong>, states that \u201cThe purchase of Pramix confirms Caiba\u2019s commitment to growth, which with the new capacities acquired will continue working with its clients and those of Pramix to offer new solutions and expand international coverage, gaining presence at the centre of the Peninsula.\u201d <\/em><\/p>\n Caiba<\/strong> designs, manufactures and commercialises preforms and containers for the main consumption sectors with a portfolio of over 800 clients which include the main companies of the food, drinks, personal hygiene and household sectors. With headquarters in Valencia, Caiba<\/strong> has around 200 employees and over 45,000m2<\/sup> of production facilities divided between the plants in Valencia (opened in 2012, one of the most modern plants in Europe) and Ja\u00e9n (a leading region at a global level in the production of olive oil, mostly packaged in PET), where it produces and distributes to both the national and export markets. Additionally, Caiba<\/strong> is the leading company in the development of integration (where the blowing process is carried out in the client\u2019s facilities); with a total of 14 facilities Caiba <\/strong>is also one of the companies with greatest capacity located in Spain (59 injection, blowing and injection-blowing machines), and in 2019 manufactured over 1.4 billion units.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Ur\u00eda Men\u00e9ndez and BDO advised Caiba<\/strong> in this operation.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n About Nazca<\/em><\/strong> <\/p>\n It currently simultaneously manages Nazca Fund IV with 275 million euros and Nazca Fund V with 150 million euros for investment in smaller sized SMEs, both funds mainly made up of international institutional investors. Nazca has a portfolio of 10 companies: FoodBox (Catering), Distribuciones Juan Luna (Food), Caiba (PET containers), McBath (Resin Shower Trays), Phibo (Dental Implants and Prostheses), Herbex (Fresh Aromatic Herbs), Terratest (Special foundations and tunnels), Diater (Biopharmacy), Cinelux (Cinema and Entertainment Services) and One Shot Hotels (Hotels).
